Come join the law enforcement team serving the Citizens of Sherman County.

We are searching for a career-minded public servant who is a good team player with a strong ethical character.

Applications are kept on file for 6 months. 

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21 years of age,
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• No felony convictions
• No Misdemeanor DV or integrity convictions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to visually recognize & distinguish colors.
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Pass pre-employment written test and physical agility test
• Pass pre-employment psychological evaluation
• No “Brady/Giglio” information in personal or professional background
• Willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred qualifications are Kansas Certified Law Enforcement Officer or equivalent from another State
• Applicants are required to pass a psychological evaluation, physical and drug test.

• Background History Questionnaire

If you completed the application through Google Docs, please download & sign the Authorization to Release Information in front of a notary public and return it to the Sheriff's Office to complete the application.
