Detention Deputy – Job Requirements

 TYPE: Full Time and Part Time

Come join the law enforcement team serving the Citizens of Sherman County.

We are searching for a career-minded public servant who is a good team player with a strong ethical character.

Applications are kept on file for 6 months. 

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• No felony convictions
• No Misdemeanor DV or integrity convictions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to visually recognize & distinguish colors.
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays.
• Background checks will be completed on all prospective applicants.

• Letter to applicant with description of application process
• Applicant Disqualification List
• Application for Employment
• Education, Licenses, Certificates and Employment History
• References
• Authorization to Release Information
• Background History Questionnaire

If you completed the application through Google Docs, please download & sign the Authorization to Release Information in front of a notary public and return it to the Sheriff's Office to complete the application.
